1. Every authentic Oakley glasses are equipped with a microfibre cleaning bag, mailing card and warranty. There’s Oakley label on the pouch, which you can easily spot. Here’s a picture of what you’re supposed to see in the original Oakley package:
2. If the vendor is an official Oakley distributor you might find premium Oakley Dealer logo on the box. Notice, not every genuine vendors are given this label!
3. Browse to online Oakley catalogue of sunglasses and find the picture of your model. Compare it to what is provided by the vendor; take a good look at darkness, vibrancy and the frame. Any fake Oakley sunglasses don’t look exactly the same.
4. Another definite way to find out if it’s an authentic pair of Oakley glasses is the “O” sign on the arms. Every genuine Oakley sunglasses are labeled that way. Here’s how it looks:
5. You have to pay for the quality. So if you’re offered a 10$ sunglasses it’s more than likely a fake Oakley sunglasses. None would ever sell genuine ones for that price!
6. Try to avoid any Far East dealer. They have the highest replica percentage.
7. In case you’re buying sunglasses online, a vendor shouldn’t avoid money back guarantee. Why would they do that if they’re 100% sure in genuine quality?
8. Checking for negative comments on the vendor is another good method. Most online vendors are listed on eBay. Make sure they have good reputation!
